    A picture of earth through time

    These images were collected as part of an ongoing joint mission between the USGS and NASA called Landsat. Their satellites have been observing earth from space since the 1970s.

    Google started working with the USGS in 2009 to make this historic archive of earth imagery available online. The goal; to inform the global community’s thinking about how we live on our planet and the policies that will guide us in the future.

    yeah it is.  also perpetuating the gender role dichotomy.  why do men have to learn about barbecuing and fixing cars? and why is that important enough to put on a list of important things to know as you grow up? and why the fuck does every one of them say to dress nicely.  fuck you, yahoo, i’ll dress how i want to fucking dress.

    Yahoo’s ten things every man should know by the age of 21

    1. Learn to tie a tie. Even better: learn how to tie a bow tie. Even better than better: learn to fold a pocket square

    2. Wear the right amount of cologne.

    3. Build a fire. At the very least, know how to light a grill.

    4. Know how to take care of a hungover lady. 

    5. Ask a woman on a date. A real date

    6. Enjoy the company of old people.

    7. The more time you spend talking about yourself and how great you are, the less great you seem.

    8. Ironing in general. Particularly a dress shirt.

    9. Crack open your car manual - and actually read it. 

    10. Be a thoughtful gifter.
